So cleaned out the refrigerator today. It's empty but sparkling.
I was going to type something pithy up, but I've forgotten it. I hate when that happens.
Tried a new recipe today.
Hoisin sauce, 1/4 to half a jar of Black Bean garlic sauce. Sauteed onions, peppers, bag of stir fry veggies, bamboo shoots, rice noodles, garlic, ginger, water chestnuts, bean sprouts.
Sautee beef and onions, add the sauce, two jarfulls of water. Toss in garlic and ginger and the stir fry veggies. Put a lid on and let it bubble and do it's stuff for 5-10 minutes. Keep it on low. Add cooked rice noodles and eat.
I'm trying to recreate marco polo's delight sauce, that I first had in college. I came about it at pf changs again. Sky Dragon and Pf Changs is the only chinese restaurantes I've run into the sauce. The original had 4 types of meat. Beef, pork, chicken and something else. I know there was a black bean sauce. Put over egg noodles.
The sauce wasn't the same as they way I've had it. Not sure why. Trying to figure it out.
Thinking of putting a bed this winter of roses on the side lawn. And no didn't remeber the pithy comment.
