I'm idly thinking of using my photos and descriptions, hopefully sight words, to help autistic kids learn to read. It's frustrating when I go to the bookstore the types of books they have for beginning readers and the words in them that are often not at the level of beginning readers.
Autistic kids are very visual. So if I include pictures like what I'm thinking of right now on quilting, they can learn sandwich isn't just something to eat but a word that means something in between two covers.(errr something to that effect I'll have to look at websters)
